Premier League Gossip: Manchester City back in for a second time for favoured target

sbobet Manchester City aren't letting the grass grow under their feet after winning the title, it seems, and The Telegraph is reporting talks are already underway to try and succeed in this window where they failed in the last by signing Leicester's Riyad Mahrez. But there could be a fly in the ointment over agents' fees which could yet delay the deal.

Joe Hart still doesn't have a future at The Etihad, though, and The Sun says he could now be farmed out to City's sister club New York City after spending last season on loan at West Ham and the season before at Torino. Chelsea have some catching up to do with City and they will make great strides in doing that if The Express is right on its claim that there is £100m waiting for Bayern Munich if they let them have Robert Lewandowski.

But who will be their manager when/if Antonio Conte departs? The Express is stirring things before Saturday's Championship play-off final between Aston Villa and Fulham by declaring that Cottagers' boss Slavisa Jokanovic is a surprise candidate for the expected vacancy at Stamford Bridge. Reports in London suggest Spurs are ready to take Anthony Martial off Manchester United's hands. sbobet

Liverpool apparently remain in the hunt for another centre half, despite their world record signing of Virgil van Dijk in January, and The Sun reckons they like the look of Newcastle's Jamaal Lascelles and Burnley's James Tarkowski. Finally, some rather sad news in The Mail which says that three-times European Cup winner Terry McDermott is putting his medals up for auction. sbobet
